Meet Rob
It's all about finding something fun.
Hey, I’m Rob—a tech guy by day, photo booth aficionado by night. I’ve called the Seattle area home since 2008 and live in Bothell with my amazing (and very patient) wife, Cathy.
Before this chapter, I spent 22 years as a Hospital Corpsman in the Navy, traveling the world and sailing the seven seas—well, five of them so far (still working on the full set). Outside of work, I’m all about adventure—whether it’s hiking, camping, road-tripping, motorcycle rides, or capturing moments behind the lens.
For a long time, the idea of starting my own business felt terrifying. But the more I shared my photo booth at events, the more I realized how much joy it brought to people—and to me. So I took the leap. And here we are.

The Monkey See Story
A few years back at a holiday party, I spotted the photo booth setup and thought, “Pfft... I could totally do that.” So, I grabbed some gear I already had, cobbled together a booth, and boom—Monkey See was unofficially born. Over the years, I kept leveling it up bit by bit, until I finally made the jump to a full-on professional setup. At that point, I figured—why not turn this thing I love into a business?
I’ve always been into photography, and honestly, running a photo booth is just pure fun. The laughter, the goofy props, the spontaneous moments—it never gets old. I hope I get to bring that same energy to your event.
As for the name Monkey See—well, it’s got layers. I’ve had my fair share of “monkey” nicknames over the years (some better than others… none I can repeat here 😅). “See” is a little wordplay: part “sea” to nod to my time as a sailor, and part “see” like what the camera captures. Clever, I hope?
